| Brief History | Keana was born on Betazed. She had a regular childhood, attending school. She is the middle of four children, born second in the group. Her older brother, Esau, was first, then the other two. As the oldest daughter, she will, one day, inherit the family's position in Betazed society if she chooses to return. She excelled in math and science in school, particularly chemistry and biology. She also played sports and the lyre. In high school, she sat in on a presentation from a Starfleet captain that had visited Betazed on an exploratory mission, and decided to apply to the Academy. She was accepted into the Science program, where she was able to increase her skills in sciences, and focus on chemistry. She also has an interest in botany, though it is not her main skill. At the Academy, she met Ben Johnson, her future ex-hsuband, an Engineering student. They dated all four years at the Academy, and then married the year they graduated. Their son was born in their second year of marriage. He does not have Keana's abilities to mind-read, but does have her eye color. |
